What is the purpose of OracleCS ?

The purpose of this site is to be a platform with a mixture of social networking and meaningful content for functional EBS consultants. At this moment the focus is on EBS Financials.

Why do I need to register ?

OracleCS is meant for serious Oracle professionals. Without registration it is possible to see all the content of the site, except the member list. In order to control the quality of the contributions (in fact: the contributor, and avoiding spammers), registration is required. Once registered it is possible to add content (articles, downloads or comments).

Do I need to use my real name ?

Although it is not required, it is highly recommended. From a networking perspective it is easier to know each others real name.

Why do you want my picture ?

Knowing each others face makes this virtual community a bit more personal. That's all. Although recommended, it's up to you what avatar (picture) you link to your personal profile.

What about my privacy ?

OracleCS is a consultants community and has no commercial intentions. We are not interested in collecting your personal details (only your face ), but we like to see your professional contributions. Your e-mail address will never be used for any commercial activity (read: spam), and we will never give your e-mail address to any third-party.

How do I create an Article ?

Before creating an article, you must be registered and logged in. Once logged in, some new menu entries appear on the 'My OracleCS' menu. Click on 'Submit an article'. Click here to read How to write an article on OracleCS

What happens after I submit an Article ?

The article will get a status of 'Pending'. This means that the article will be checked by an editor, mainly on cosmetics (the build-in HTML editor is not always very intuitive). After that, the article will be published. The author will get a notification after each status change.
