Integration is getting more and more attention in the E-Business Suite community. Application landscapes are getting more complicated, and EBS is in most cases not the only enterprise application. SOA and AIA are the new buzzwords to overcome the integration complexity.

Now I have an iPhone ... but no Oracle Business Indicators!

A few weeks ago I was in Belgium and I took the chance to buy an iPhone. Availability of iPhones was still very limited, but finally I found a store with iPhones on stock. The big advantage of Belgium iPhones (and Italian as well) is that they have no SIM lock (which is not available in The Netherlands, where you only can buy it together with a T-Mobile subscription).

BI for Apps internal training ... some impressions

Last week I joined (and partly led) a training with Oracle BI colleagues and some BI consultants from a local partner. This is pretty unique, since the BI and Apps worlds are not too familiair with each other. So I didn't only learn a new product (OBIEE) but also some new colleagues!

Documenting the setup in BR.100's is not the favorite activity for most consultants, but I think it is an essential part of the implementation. During this phase, which usually consists with lots of uncertainty and pending decisions, the BR.100's reflect the agreed setup for the master environment. But how can we reduce the size of these documents in case of multiple Operating Units and Set of Books ?
